Held on cheating charge
KORAPUT: Director of the All-Orissa Commerce Students’ Association (AOCSA) of Bhubaneswar Bhimasen Bhattaray was arrested by the Koraput police on Thursday on charges of misappropriating public money and cheating students by promising them jobs, said Sarat Kumar Sahoo, OIC, Koraput police station.
The ANM training centre being managed by him here had no authorisation documents, Mr. Sahoo said, adding that Bhattaray had even collected huge amounts from people from remote areas promising better health care facilities. Following complaints from students of the institution and field staff, he was arrested.
