getting affected in the Kondh Sahi village under Podapadar panchayat
of Narayanpatna block during the lat week . The villagers had
been suffering from the infection after consuming the infected meat of
the cattle , sources said .
The seriously infected persons were admitted in to the hospital at
the block head quarter while a special medical team was sent to the
village . According to the health official sources , 33 people have
died and 263 got infected from the disease in Koraput district
in the last five years. Balakrishana Sahu , the district collector of
Koraput , paying a visit to the village had advised the villagers
not to take the infected meat of the dead cattle .
